Staff Profiles




 

Stan Daugherty, founder and director of Higher Level Sports, is a veteran coach with twenty-nine years of coaching experience. Stan has coached at every level of basketball including middle school, junior varsity, varsity and college. In fifteen years as a varsity high school coach he complied an overall record of 182-146 while coaching at five central Indiana high schools. As the Head Coach at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana from 2000-2007, Stan is the all-time leader in basketball wins for the Maple Leafs.  His 2003-04 team set a school record with 21 wins.  He is currently Athletic Director at Delta High School in Muncie, IN.  Known for his excellent teaching of fundamentals, his leadership to the camps comes from over twenty years of directing camps for various high schools, colleges and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Stan’s ability to organize camps will insure that you will receive maximum instruction in the sport for the weekend.


 

Travis Daugherty, camp counselor, was a four-year starter in basketball at Anderson University. An all-conference performer and freshmen of the Year in 1998, Travis is an excellent shooter who plays the point guard position. He owns the all-time Anderson University single season mark for FT% at 90% and is also the career leader at over 86%.  Travis is currently an English teacher and Head Basketball Coach at Tipton High School in Tipton, Indiana.  Travis is a great role model for all of the boys at camp and leads a Bible study for the campers. His easygoing personality makes him very approachable by the campers and offers a very friendly atmosphere.


Mickey Hosier, camp counselor, is a four-year varsity basketball player from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Mickey led the Cardinals to a four-year mark of over twenty wins per season. Mickey is currently the head Boys' Basketball Coach at Alexandria-Monroe High School in Alexandria, Indiana.  An excellent defender and point guard, Mickey brings an enthusiastic personality to the camp that is admired by all of the campers. Mickey also is a great role model for the campers and leads a Bible study for the boys.
